Here are some friends wearing their 'crazy' hats in celebration of Dr. Seuss day, March 2nd! We read our collection of Dr. Seuss stories, and wrote a persuasive piece about which of two stories that I read aloud was our favorite. The stores were The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins, and To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street.
Ask your first grader to tell you the title of the very first book that Ted Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss, published!
On Dr. Seuss day our goal was to read 100 books during Writing Workshop! We were so close, we got to 95 books in one workshop session; now that's teamwork!
"Puppets and people, eyes on me!", is how Mrs. Gallagher, or Mrs. G., gains attention during guidance class. Today during guidance our puppets were tools helping us practice how to be an 'up stander'. Ask your first grader to tell you how you can be an up stander, too!
In the above photo two friends demonstrate their skill while the class listens.
Thank you for scheduling your conference time with me; I look forward to meeting you all of you, soon! As always, should you need to reschedule your appointment, please send me an email and we'll find another time that works.
Happy weekend, and remember it's time to Spring Ahead!!
